Our Variety Story

Gratitude for Variety STL 🚲
We are beyond grateful to Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis for blessing Ethan with his new and seriously cool adaptive bike! 🧡 His first ride was full of excitement, freedom, and smiles—and we’re so looking forward to watching him grow in confidence, fun, and independence as he continues to ride and explore.

We’re also thrilled about our upcoming fitting this September for Judah—we can’t wait to see both of our boys riding together, creating beautiful memories through movement and play.

Variety STL is so much more than a bike giveaway. They offer adaptive equipment, assistive technology, communication devices, inclusive recreation programs like Variety Camp, and performing arts experiences that allow kids to thrive, express themselves, and just be kids. 💛

It’s been a true pleasure working with the Variety STL team—their communication, care, and responsiveness have made this journey smooth and joyful. We’re so thankful for their heart and commitment to families like ours.

TRAINING

  • Laundry Mat

    Training is TBD. Join us as we sort, wash, dry, and fold. Washing clothes is a daily living skill a lot of love to miss. Let’s do this together by sharing in a loving supportive environment, where their efforts are what counts the most. Visual aids will be provided.

  • Grocery Shopping

    Training is TBD. Grocery shopping is essential for daily living as they say you can’t make a dish without the ingredients. Let’s get together and help our children understand value, patience, and the power of choice. Visual aids will be provided - stay tuned for this exciting training.

  • What's Cooking?

    Training is TBD. Let’s practice food preparation without the stovetop. Delicious deli-type meals can be prepared without the scare of burning the house down. Let’s help our children learn to make themselves a balanced meal with ample flavor. Visual aids will be provided. Stay tuned!

  • Safety First

    Training is TBD. Our children's safety is always a top priority as a parent. Join us to explore a variety of safety topics. Our goal is to bring awareness and discipline around being safe and recognizing danger. Visual aids will be provided. This will be a multiple-part training as many topics can be covered under safety.
